9 Virtual Birthday Party Ideas
Hi Fashionistas. Last weeks was my daughters birthday and as you can tell I love a reason to throw a party. Since we can’t do that, I came up with a couple different ways to host a virtual party for her. So, today I am sharing 9 epic Virtual Birthday Party Ideas. These really can work for all ages and are a great way to tell your friends or family you are thinking of them.
Birthday Party Parade
This was our plan for my daughters birthday, but the day before we found out there was a pretty intense rain in the forecast. So, I had to move things around. We decided to host a virtual birthday party and move the parade to the day after her birthday.
Virtual Birthday Party
Jump on a zoom call with all of your favorite friends. Talk and end with singing Happy Birthday. Just remember that Zoom has a 40 minute limit if you are on a free account. So, you may want to look at Facebook Messenger or FaceTime to host your group call.
Birthday Party Bus
Obviously, this isn’t a real bus. But, reach out to friends and family and see if they want to decorate their yards or houses for a tour. Then you can drive around and see everyone from your car. Give a wave and a honk. It’s a great way to celebrate without asking your friends to leave their homes.
Spa Day
Out of all of these birthday party ideas, we pulled off 4 of them. LOL. I put together an epic Spa Day for my girls. I waited on them, did their nails and helped them with their masks. It was so fun. Be sure to check back because I will be sharing our spa day details soon!
Virtual Movie Night
You can have a Watch Party with Netflix Party. This is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to stream a movie with friends. You can see details on how to host a virtual movie night here.
Virtual Game Night
Back to the zoom call or Facebook call. You can add in a couple games to make the call more entertaining. For Loralei’s birthday I made bingo cards, and texted them to all of our friends. Then they could print them and we could all play a long.
Virtual Scavenger Hunt
Create an in home or in yard scavenger hunt. Jump on a zoom call to discuss how you are going to run your scavenger hunt, and then get out and hunt. When you are done with your time limit jump back on and see who completed it.
Virtual Dinner Experience
Grubub, Uber Eats, and Door Dash can all deliver food. So, if you were thinking of taking a friend out to dinner, send a Grubhub order to both of you and speaker phone, zoom call or FaceTime while you enjoy your meal.
Escape Room
Create an at home Escape Room. Lock Paper Scissors has some great kits that you can purchase and download. Or you can create your own and have your kids work together to solve the mystery and escape.
To be honest I think this is the only way I could ever handle an escape room. If someone locked me in a building and told me I had to solve a mystery to escape, I would probably have a panic attack and meltdown. I don’t even like rooms with no windows. So, FYI don’t ask me to attend unless your escape room is in your house.
