48 Hours In Napa
Napa is now one of our favorite destinations for travel without kids. Check out our 48 hours in Napa with details of where we ate what wineries we visited and all of our tips for making the most of your 2 days in Wine Country.
Day 1
V. Sattui Winery
This winery is one of our favorites from our visit. It has a family vibe and a great market. They have an amazing market with lots of snack options and a sandwich bar. You can pickup a bottle of wine and your food and enjoy a picnic on the grounds. They have tons of picnic tables all covered with beautiful large trees. We just did a wine tasting here because we needed to move on to our next tasting, but we will definitely return. We had a shipment of wine delivered to our home we loved the wine so much.

Peju
Was a great stop that was a nice quiet winery. We enjoyed our winery in a back room with just a few other people. They had some decent wines, but they weren’t really our favorites. Since everyones taste buds are different its worth a stop as the grounds our beautiful and it was nice to have a quiet tasting during the chaos of a busy weekend.

Domaine Carneros
This winery is beautiful with amazing views of the valley. They had a great champagne tasting and you sat at a private table and you had the option to order food. We had already ate lunch so we passed on the food options.

Il Posto Trattoria
Our first dinner in our 48 hours in Napa was at Il Posto Trattoria. We ate here because it was an Italian restaurant that had a gluten free pasta option and Megan needed to carb load for a half marathon race the next day. The food here was so good and fresh. It was amazing. We would eat here again.
Day 2
Inglenook
This winery has so much history and is now owned by Francis Coppola. The property is stunning with a small museum of history of the winery and Francis Coppola’s story. They have a beautiful stained glass window at the top of the stairway that is beautiful.
Our top wine pick as the Rubicon. Which came in as the most expensive bottle we liked on this trip at $245. We didn’t buy it. LOL.
Del Dotto Winery
This winery experience is amazing. Almost the entire winery is built with materials imported from Italy. They have wine tasting straight out of the barrel which is really unique and cool. We purchased wine that wasn’t finished and we will receive it in a few months. I am excited to taste what the wine will be like when it is fully finished. They offer pizza at the end of the tasting and we were lucky that we had wine club members with us so we were sat at a great table upstairs with several pizzas. We stayed talking with the people in our group for quite some time. It was such a great experience.
Our top wine was the Cave Blend or Piazza Putti Fresco Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bounty Hunter
This restaurant was a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. It wrapped up our 48 hours in Napa perfectly. The food was delicious, the restaurant had a cool casual vibe right in downtown.
