5 Tips To Travel In Style

Spread the love

Hi Lovelies.  It’s Thursday and I am getting ready to head to Lake Tahoe with my family for a snow filled getaway.  I am so excited.  So, I decided it would be a good time to share my 5 tips to travel in style.  Airports and trains can be drab and boring, but your outfit doesn’t have to be.  Why not travel in style?  Why not be the lady that everyone is looking at in the security line?  With these simple tips, you can do just that.

1. Layer it up

This is key.  Wearing layers will help you stay warm and adjust to the temperatures in and out of the airport and planes.  Also, layers are an easy way to look stylish.  You can add different patterns and textures to your look.  Start with a simple t-shirt, layered with a button up and a cardigan.  Get creative.

2. Invest in a fancy carry-on

I have a gold Michael Kors bag or this black DVF bag, that I love to use as my carry-on.  They are both easy to use and go with everything.  You can go with a simple duffel bag in a nice faux leather, or an oversized satchel.  Whatever, your preference, look for something that will go with almost anything in your closet.  So, you can always look stylish.

3. Pack a hat

A hat is a great way to cover messy hair when you get off the plane at your destination.  Choose a hat that fits with the weather of your destination.  A little extra piece for your wardrobe.

4. Comfortable Shoes

No brainer right?  Walking through airports and whatever travel you have left when you arrive can be tiresome.   They don’t have to be flats, just a pair that is comfortable for you.

5. Simple Jewelry

I like to stick with basics.  A watch and maybe a necklace.  Keep it to items that you can get off quickly and you are ok letting out of your site while they go through the scanners.

Finally, none of these will matter if you throw it on all over a pair of sweat pants.  Invest in a great pair of leggings or comfortable jeans.  I love my boyfriend jeans for traveling, or my go to leggings.  We all have our comfortable pants, am I right?

  1. Great traveling tips in your post, comfortable shoes and layering are so important with the long hours and freezing temperatures in plane rides! We like to bring a neck pillow but leave it in the carry on until we get to the plane, to not ruin our look!
