Hi Lovelies, Happy Wednesday. Today, I want to check in with the body shape series and give a few recommendations for all 5 body types. Since there is a great sale going on at Nordstrom, I thought this would be a great opportunity to do a little of both. I want to share my top picks from Nordstrom and give a a little dress for your body shape tips.
Let’s go over the top 5 body shapes; Pear, Column, Apple, Hourglass, and Strawberry. You can see the body shape descriptions here. Of course, we should love our body no matter what your body shape is but, there are ways to dress to create the illusion of the perfect balanced body. For today we will focus on the first two and tomorrow we will finish with apple, hourglass and strawberry.

Pear Body Shape
These are my top picks from the Nordstrom Sale for the Pear Body Shape. I chose these items because they balance the broad hips of a pear. By applying prints and details on the upper body and simple clean lines on the lower half, you will draw the eye upward. Shoulder detail will help to emphasize the shoulders and balance the hips.
Column Body Shape
With the Column Body Shape you want to create the illusion of a waist. You want to find pieces with hip and bust detail. This will accentuate the waist. Your dress should have darts and details on the bust.

I am definitely the “pear-shaped” body!!! It’s very difficult to find clothing to, not only fit me…but, look presentable!!!

Dressing according to shapes is important, yes that’s true. But I find it even harder for me even after defining my shape since I’m also petite. Being petite makes it a thousand times harder to choose clothes that fit.
How interesting I am a pear and it is hard at times to get clothes that fit the hips and the bust at the same time, thank you for sharing and Nordstrom has a wonderful selection that fit a lot of different body styles
