Stylish Saturday: Fall Colors

Happy Saturday.  I had some great ideas for this weekend but, we had a bit of a family emergency this week when my almost two year old broke her elbow.  We spent almost every day in some sort of doctor’s office finishing off the week with a long hospital day and surgery.
This was by far one of the hardest weeks I have had has a parent thus far.  Watching my baby in pain, standing there while they put her under, and then being sent out of the room to wait and hope it all goes well…. All I can say is I am exhausted.  You don’t realize how much adrenaline your body is running on, until the event ends and you crash.  So, I am going to apologize, if this post is poorly written.  I am literally a zombie typing right now.  With that being said, I decided to make it easy on myself and talk fall color choices.  As we all start adding our fall pieces back to our wardrobe here are some great color suggestions based on PANTONE  and popular color choices for fall 2014.

Cobalt Blue

Sangria

Banana Republic Zip Front Dress - Secret plum

Grey (Aluminum)

Banana Republic Drapey Utility Shirt - Dark charcoal

Orchid

Michael Stars 1X1 Slub V Tee - Snapdragon

I am so happy it is Saturday and this week is behind us.  My little bundle of love is doing well and sleeping.  I hope you all enjoy your Saturday and let me just add give your loved ones extra hugs today.  Being in a hospital and standing in an OR definitely makes you rethink your life a little.  I wish you all health and happiness and I am sending you all a virtual hug today.
Oh and if you haven’t noticed at the top of the blog The Fashionista Momma is now offering STYLIST services.  You can check out everything I have to offer at YOU STYLED.

Ohhh and I am glad your little girl is feeling better. I totally understand you as my own little girl has been sick all week, with shots and antibiotics and she is only feeling better today. Poor babies. Hugs to you both.

Oh no!! I hope she is doing better. It is always hard when there is a sick child in the house. She just needs a lot of help because she gets frustrated and doesn’t understand why she can’t use her arm. 🙁 xo ~ Megan

Thank you Nora!! The doctor even said that it was better at this age because she will heal so quickly and if it was me I would have been out for weeks. Thanks for stopping by and linking up. xo ~ Megan

Best of wishes to your little one for a fast recovery.

As far as fall colors go, I’ve treated myself to a pair of grey (or gray) skinnies, which you can see in my latest outfit post.

Beautiful fall tones! A speedy recovery to your daughter! Must have been so difficult to see her in pain! As you mentioned, it is so important to hug our loved ones tightly and tell them how much they mean to us! Life is precious and fragile! Thanks so much for hosting Stylish Saturday!!

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
