The Best Dress For An Inverted Triangle Body Shape

Hi Fashionistas. Today, is the last day for the body shape series. We are finishing with the best dress for an inverted triangle. This body shape has its widest point at the shoulders and chest and tapers to the hips. The ideal dress has limited details at the shoulders and a full skirt. This will give the illusion of curves.

Wrap Dress

The wrap dress works for the inverted triangle because it has a full skirt and waist detail. When picking out your wrap dress be sure that the top has limited details. Avoid ruffles across the chest and the sleeve.

A-Line

The a-line dress has a defined waist and flows away at the hip. This gives the illusion of more curves. When picking out the a-line dress, look for a v-neck or scoop neck. A high neck a-line dress can cause the shoulders to look broad.

Empire Waist

This high waist has a full skirt and waist detail. Just like the a-line dress you want to focus on the cut of the neckline. Look for a scoop neck or v-neck.

Drop Waist

The last cut that works for an inverted triangle is a drop waist. Because of the detail around the hips it can balance out the broad shoulders. Remember, to always look at the neckline and avoid any cut that will make the shoulders look broad.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
