Hi Lovelies, if you follow me on Instagram you saw my daughters big 10th 80’s birthday party. We had so much fun and it was by far one of my favorite parties to plan. Here are all of the details and everything that went into planning.

Must Haves For An 80’s Birthday Party

  1. Old School Soda Bottles – We had to hunt them down, but found them at a local small market.
  2. 80′ Items – Rubix Cubes, Slinkies, light bright and other bright colored festive 80’s items.
  3. Treats – All the 80’s treats. Fun Dip, Pop Rocks, Bright Colored cupcakes, a neon splatter cake and the epic cookies from Sweet Celebrations by Hannah.
  4. Pin The Bow On Ms. Pac-Man – I made this on a poster board. I just drew a pac-man and made bows for them to stick on. However, they did cheat and were feeling for the lines of the bows, but they. still had a blast.
  5. Silly String Fight – Another great activity was a big silly string fight. We ended up having two and had to go back to Dollar Tree for more silly string.
  6. Pac-Man Balloon Arch – I just made two columns for our party because I don’t have a place for a full arch. This was the girls favorite part. These columns made the perfect photo booth.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.

Happy Birthday @chase.ballard we are truly blessed Happy Birthday @chase.ballard we are truly blessed to have you in our lives. You work countless hours driving to and from LA and then come home to coach, and do the countless honey-dos I have. We couldn’t do life without you.
