Currently Loving: Transitional Pieces For Fall

Hi Lovelies!  This month’s currently loving is coming a little early, since I will be on vacation this coming week.  Today’s post will take us from the summer months to the cooler months of fall with these transitional pieces.  I have picked my favorite reasonably priced items that you can add to your wardrobe to keep your summer wardrobe going into fall.

Transitional Pieces for Fall

Leather Jacket: A leather jacket is a perfect staple for your fall and winter wardrobe.  Colored leather is really in this year.  So, I suggest picking up a faux color leather jacket for your fall wardrobe.  You won’t spend too much money on faux leather and you will probably get two years of use out of it.

Ankle Boot:  These Mossimo Ankle boots from Target are a perfect addition to your wardrobe.  I personally don’t like spending a ton of money on shoes because…. hello, they are on your feet and they get destroyed.  There are certain shoes that are worth the investment, like a classic black heel or boot, but the ankle boot is something you can pick up for a reasonable price and get a year to two years of use out of them.

Military Jacket:  Another trend for this fall that is perfect paired over one of your summer dresses.  You can find the military jacket in a crop or longer style like this.  Just make sure which ever cut you pick up, that it does not fall at the widest point of your hips.  It should be either above or below.

Long Cardigan:  This is great thrown over anything and can even be paired with shorts.   Throw it over leggings and a t-shirt to cover your booty.  It’s an easy item for us stylish busy moms.

Cardigan:  A good ol’ 3/4 sleeve cardigan is another great piece for fall.  It also can be layered under the military jacket for extra even more coverage.  You have a lot of options with this cardigan.  I like picking up colored cardigans to add something extra to my outfits.

Tights:  I am in love with this tights.  I saw them on the Rebecca Minkoff runway and they are by far my new faves for fall.  This pair is a little pricey, but I couldn’t help it.  I loved them that much.  I have seen them on Amazon as well for reasonable price.  So, you have a lot of options.

I hope you are all as ready for fall as I am.  Today was a rather hot day in the city and I think I am ready for it to start cooling down.  Check back tomorrow for some new faces here on The Fashionista Momma.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
