Dog Days End OOTD

Hi Lovelies, Today starts the series of guest posts, while I am off in Palm Beach.  This little blogger vacay was much needed.  We have had it planned for awhile and as you have seen, our destination has changed three times.  Finally, stuck with Palm Beach and a little Disney World excursion.  This trip could not have come at a better time, we have big things in the next few weeks and a little timeout was needed.  I will be sharing our little secret soon, so be sure to check back.  For the next week, I have some amazing bloggers sharing fashion, beauty and health with all of you.  Starting with today and Leah from The Calico Cat.  You will see new faces until Saturday August 29th when I will jump in with Style Saturday.  So, enjoy some fun new content and meet some pretty fabulous ladies.  Take it away Leah.

Hello Gorgeous!

My name is Leah and I post for The Calico Cat. The Calico Cat is a beauty+lifestyle blog where I review products, scheme up new makeup tutorials and showcase the occasional outfit of the day. I also cover other topics too, such as college life, book reviews and recipes. TCC was founded in January of this year as a way for me to write about my passions. I am an English major studying Writing and Publications, so the blog was also a way for me to improve my writing skills. I hope you stop by and stay awhile!

Today, I am bringing you a fun dog days of summer outfit. This outfit can be worn in the heat of summer in the way that it is pictured or add a cardigan and wear it as the weather begins to cool off. Add simple accessories and you are out the door! This outfit is quickly becoming a go-to for a night out or a day of errands. Just remember, this shirt has a low cut back and the flirty window so a bra may be an issue. To fix this problem, I just used the Hollywood Fashion Secrets Silicone Cover-Ups instead.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
