Easy Thanksgiving Table Decor

Hi Lovelies. Thanksgiving is coming up mighty fast. It’s just two short weeks away. Crazy right? We have our holiday tripped semi-planned, we just need to book our hotels. At the rate we are going though this trip may fall through. Hopefully, now that my husband and my schedule have started slow down, we can get this dang trip planned.

Today, I’m sharing our Thanksgiving table.  This year I kept it clean and simple.  This easy thanksgiving table decor will be quick for you to put together.  You can even replace my hand painted pumpkins for good ol’ orange pumpkins.

I have to share the story of the pumpkins.  This was my idea for my Thanksgiving table for some time. I only I forgot the dang pumpkins.  Two days after Halloween, I thought for sure I would find white pumpkins….. Well, I’m here to tell you that after Halloween pumpkins are sparse.  LOL.  So, I decided I would paint my pumpkins.  Which is a whole DIY post in itself.  Here is the quick version.  I mixed white and a tan acrylic paint.  Two layers on my lovely pumpkin pie pumpkins (it’s all I could find) and then gold acrylic lightly painted on the stem and top of the pumpkin.  Coat with a layer of Mod Podge.  Finished product, you have a pretty decorative pumpkin perfect for your fall tablescape.  Tell me all about your thanksgiving.  Are you hosting Thanksgiving at your house?  Do you set up the table?  Or are you a buffet style family?

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
