We are coming up on October and I thought this would be a great time to share all of my favorite fall activities in San Diego. These 6 fun family activities are the best part of fall in San Diego.
Apple Picking in Julian
Julian is one of our favorite fall activities. We love spending a whole day up there. Apple picking get lunch and enjoy the very cute downtown shopping area. We are big antique store shoppers, we don’t really buy anything just love shopping in them. You can finish your day with cider and apple pie from Mom’s or Julian Pie Company.
Bates Nut Farm
Bates Nut Farm is our go-to for pumpkins. We go every year and it is definitely one of the best fall activities in San Diego. Be sure to follow along this weekend because we will be touring their pumpkin patch and getting our pumpkins early!
Legoland Brick or Treat
This is another fun weekend activity to get in the spirit of Halloween. LEGOLAND Brick or Treat is always so much fun. They get to safely trick or treat, and enjoy all the rides after hours at LEGOLAND. We will be there this weekend as well. So, lots of fun stuff happening on Instagram this week.
Boomont Park
Another great family activity is Boomont Park at Belmont Park. Enjoy the rides, trick or treating, a costume contest and all the family fun you can handle. The girls had a blast, we played mini golf, and did the ropes course. Which by the way is a little hairy in high heeled boots. We lived the fair life with Hot Dog on Stick for dinner and Beaver tails for dessert. It was a fun Saturday evening. It’s a quick drive and was not too crowded.
Wine Tasting in Temecula
This is the best season to enjoy Temecula Wine Country. The weather has cooled down there is a great breeze and it’s just so beautiful. We recently visited Briar Rose and absolutely loved it. Be sure to check back soon, because I will be rounding up all of my favorite wineries.
Bing Crosby Races at Del Mar
If you missed the Del Mar races during the summer season, get in for the Bing Crosby Series they have in November. It’s a quiet and a great way to enjoy the horse races.
Outdoor Shopping
Rounding up the fall activities in San Diego is holiday shopping at one of our great malls. We love all of our outdoor malls. The weather cools down and shopping is so enjoyable. Some of my favorite outdoor shopping venues are Westfield UTC and The Outlets in San Clemente. This is outside of San Diego county but its a great shopping center close to downtown San Clemente.
Now, I am not a black Friday shopper and you can see my reasons for avoiding black Friday here. But, there are plenty of other days to shop.
