Guide To Park City

I’m finally getting out the guide to Park City.  We had such a great time and I’m so excited to sit down and relive all the memories with all of you.  We spent the trip outdoors, hiking, swimming and just enjoying nature. Utah might not sound like the idea “vacation” spot to most, but I assure you, it’s great!

Alpine Coaster

City guide to Park City UT including the Alpine Coaster.

This was seriously a blast.  You do have to be 42 inches to ride, but there are other things to do at Park City Mountain for kids under that height.  We literally just went for the alpine coaster and the girls did the rope course.  It was so much fun.  It was a little costly for the activities, but I would say the alpine coaster was worth it. The also offer an unlimited pass for those looking to spend the day there.  It’s such a unique outdoor adventure.

Rafting

City guide to Park City including rafting.

There are so many different companies that you can choose for rafting.  The options are a little limited for the younger kids.  We went with Park City Rafting because they would accommodate the younger children.  They were amazing.  You meet in a kind of random location, but don’t be scared.  The guides are knowledgeable and so friendly.

Hiking

The hiking trails are endless.  We hiked a couple different places, but my favorite spot was Twin Lakes.  We hiked all the way out to Twin Lakes and it is definitely a moderate hike.  If your children are young and haven’t hiked before, this may not be the best option.  It has spots that are rather rocky.  It’s a gorgeous view and oh so peaceful.  Check out all of the trails that Park City has to offer, because there are so many options.

Natural History Museum

This is a bit of drive to Salt Lake City, but it’s totally worth it.  The hands on exhibits are outstanding.  We had a blast and spent hours going through the whole museum.  We stayed and had lunch in Salt Lake, making it a great day away from the small town of Park City.

Eateries

Unfortunately, we didn’t eat out much and the few places we did eat dinner at weren’t worth writing about.  So, here are the only two musts when visiting Park City.

Atticus Coffee – This was a great place with lots of options and perfect for the kids.  It’s such a cute shop.

Pink Elephant Coffee – I loved this coffee shop.  You have to walk through a clothing store to get upstairs to their small little location, but they had the most perfect lattes.

Have you been to Park City?  Was there something you just absolutely loved?  I would love to hear your travel tips too.

Have you been to Ensenada? What’s your favorite spots? We had a great time on our Ensenada excursion on our Carnival cruise. Including rain, pina coladas, La Bufadora and wine tasting at Santa Tomas winery. If you are in SoCal I recommend making your own way across the border to Ensenada.
