The Ultimate SoCal Staycation
Hi Lovelies, I am excited to be heading to NYFW. My favorite time of year. Today, I’m sharing our adventures from winter break. This is the ultimate SoCal Staycation with everything from LA to San Diego.
Disneyland
You can always guarantee that Disneyland is on my list for a SoCal Staycation. This is our favorite destination in Southern California. We have our annual passes and it’s always a part of our staycations. There is nothing like a day at Disneyland. I will be sharing all of our Disneyland Tips in a few weeks, but if you are heading to Disney World check out all my tips here.
I highly recommend getting Max Passes and using the app during your visit. It makes your trip way easier to navigate.
Museum Of Illusions
We visited the Museum of Illusions and the upside down house during our holiday break and it was so much fun. I highly suggest making a day trip to LA to enjoy this museum. If you head to my Instagram you can check out several of my favorite illusions here. My favorite was the side of the building where you can stand on the edge, followed up by the giant donut and the black hole!! The best way to round out a trip to LA is to stop in to Bottega Louie. Grab a really great lunch and some of my favorite macarons!!
Knotts Berry Farm
Knotts Berry Farm is another great destination if you have older kids. In order to enjoy most of the rides your children need to be at least 48 inches. They do have Camp Snoopy that is great for small children, but the park is much more enjoyable if you can get on more rides. Some of our favorites are Hang Time, Calico River Rapids, and Sierra Sidewinder.
Another tip if you have annual passes, grab a snoopy bucket. It’s $1 refills for all of 2020!!
Big Bear
The beautiful thing about SoCal is that we can go from the beach to the snow in 24 hours. So, in the ultimate Staycation you have to do just that. A quick trip to Big Bear is a must. I will be back sharing our favorite restaurants and things to do along with our GoPro footage of our family fun day.
If you are traveling on a weekend, you have to check out the Glow Tubing at Big Bear Snow Play. We had so much fun and it was a great way to enjoy the evening hours in the cold.
San Diego Symphony
If part of your SoCal Staycation brings you to sunny San Diego, you have to make your way to the San Diego Symphony is a great place for a family show or a date night. We enjoy their Fox Movie nights, where the symphony plays live over the movie.
