The Weekly Style Edit: Lace

Hi Lovelies.  Happy Thanksgiving week eve.  It’s Friday and time for another Weekly Style Edit.  This week Lindsay and I are sharing our takes on lace.

I’m sharing my personal style with this look for the holidays.  It would be a perfect look for a formal Thanksgiving, Christmas dinner or classic New Years Eve party.  I love lace details.  Don’t you?  It adds a little sex appeal and class.  This color is just right for the holidays.  Stylish mom bonus, you can find it at Target for under $30!!

We had a busy week with school commitments, winey moms and lots of work.  This week I have started to put together our holiday schedule.  There are so many great events that happen here in southern California and I love to fill our holiday seasons with lots of lights, music and holiday cheer.  We have started our countdown for Thanksgiving and our elf Albie’s arrival.  Speaking of Albie, I want to get a great post up about the elf on the shelf.  I love coming up with creative ways for Albie to arrive after his long flight to the North Pole.  I know some people do not like the elf on the shelf, but I love him.  In our hose we don’t really use him as bribe tool to behave.  We just have him visit because it’s fun.  I love watching the girls run around the house first thing in the morning trying to find Albie.  The excitement and light in their eyes means everything to me.  Our elf doesn’t really cause trouble, or make big messes.  He sets up tea parties and doctor visits or hangs from the chandelier.  I can’t wait to share some of our elf adventures over the holiday season. Be sure to check in on Instagram Stories to see what Albie is up to.  Also, make sure that you link up with Lindsay and I below.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
