Top Tips To Enjoy Xel-Ha
On our trip to Cancun we visited Xel-Ha. These are our top tips to enjoy Xel-Ha. This park is amazing and there is a lot to do and see. You can get so many different experiences out of oneway at this park.
Buy your tickets in advance
The line to purchase tickets and photo passes can be long. So, if you want to save yourself time purchase everything in advance. Then when you arrive you can walk right in and start your day.
Book transportation
We chose to book through a transportation company and I do wish we would have done a private or semi-private transport. The drive from Cancun is long and the amount of time you spend picking people up is such a waste. Also, they do not do the first person picked up is the first person dropped off. So if you are first stop which we were for almost all of our excursions, we were on the bus the longest amount of time on both ends of the trips.
Book the additional excursions
We booked the zip bikes and swimming with the manatees. The girls really enjoyed both of these experiences and I would highly recommend both experiences. We got so many great photos and made such great memories. Our zip bikes experience was unique. A bird had made a nest along the route and was dive bombing everyone riding by. According to the staff they make their nest regularly and they have to relocate them, but they keep coming back,
Enjoy the unlimited food and beverages
The buffets are fully stocked and there are a lot of food options. The table turnover is fast so even if there is a line the wait is never too bad. They offer food all day long drinks all day long (including alcohol). So grab a cocktail or a snack anytime you like. The girls also really enjoyed the bottomless ice cream. Be mindful if you have dietary restrictions things may not be marked correctly. They seemed to have an issue correctly marking gluten free, the signs were not consistent.
Book the unlimited photo package
Our final tip on our top tips to enjoy Xel-Ha is to book the unlimited photo package. There are a ton of photo opportunities in Xel-Ha. So, purchasing the photo package is worth it. It was so nice to not have to carry our camera with us every where and we got more packages than we ever have had from an excursion.
