5 Things To Try In 2018

Happy New Years Lovelies.  It’s 2018.  I can’t even believe it.  I took some time off because our house got hit so hard with all of the sickness.  We were well enough just to make it to Arizona for the Polar Express and then got home to being sick again.  It’s been totally crazy.  I’m sure many of you have had the same experiences.  I’ve heard everyone is getting hit.  Anyway, I thought I would start the year off with 5 things to try in 2018.  Of course I could write about New Years resolutions, but instead of Resolutions I just want to share these 5 things that will make you feel better.  I do have a post that will help you keep your resolutions, you can check it out here.

Juice Cleanse

The juice cleanse tips that will save you while you cleanse.

I love juice cleanses.  I highly recommend one to re-start your digestive system.  Even if it’s only for one day.  There are a ton of places that you can buy a juice cleanse, I like my local Juice Stop at The Island.  I can get a 1 day or 3 day cleanse and pick it up all at once, or daily.  A juice cleanse gives your digestive system a break.  It allows you to clear out toxins and reset.  Be sure to discuss this with your doctor first and be sure it’s safe for you.

Yoga

Obviously, yoga would be on my list.  I teach hot yoga and truly believe that a regular yoga practice will change your life.  Yoga keeps me sane, it keeps me fit, it keeps me happy.  If you don’t already practice yoga, it is definitely something that should be on your list of things to do in the new year.  If you don’t like one style, try another.  There are so many options and there is something for everyone.  You will find your yoga love.

Walk/Run A Race

Walk or run race.  There is nothing like crossing a finish line of a race.  There is an energy that I can’t explain.  So, many people, all there to give it their all.  It doesn’t matter the distance of the race.  Start small and just give it a try.  Of course walking or running a race may not be for everyone, but highly recommend it.  It gives you a goal and something to train for.

Buy Yourself Flowers

Treat yourself to flowers.  Once a week or once a month.  A full bouquet or just 3 gerber daisies.  You deserve fresh flowers.  A flower can change your mood and brighten any space.

Save Money

We all could use more money in our pockets.  If there is one thing I am learning, it’s the need to save money.  I know I should have learned that a long time ago, but sometimes I am a slow learner. LOL.  I do know that the cost of living is getting more expensive every day.

These are 5 simple things to try in 2018 that will change your year.  From your health, happiness and your bank account.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
