Currently Loving: Summer Edition

Happy Wednesday Lovelies.  It’s the last Wednesday in June, can you believe it?  Fourth of July is just around the corner.  I swear, as you get older, time goes by faster.  I’m going to be old and grey in no time.  Well, I’m already grey, so it’s just old that I’m counting down to.  Lol.  Anyway, enough about my fears of getting old and wrinkly.  Since, it’s the last Wednesday in June it’s time for the Currently Loving: Summer Edition.  Recently, I shared my Top 5 Summer Trends on School Yard Style and I have included some of those items in to today’s post.

Eileen Fisher Dress – I already have a denim dress that was so amazingly affordable from Old Navy.  So, I am going to day dream about this dress that I can’t afford.  It’s just perfect and it can be worn in so many ways.  It really makes it the best piece you can add to your wardrobe this summer.

Gladiator Sandal – I protested the gladiator sandal for so long.  Alas, I have decided to cross over to the dark side and get a pair.  I love this Topshop version, but I have seen a Sam & Libby pair at Target for less.  So, you will have to see which ones I end up with.  Ok, it will probably be the Target version…

Gentle Fawn Dress –  I am in love with Gentle Fawn.  I will be featuring them this weekend and I can honestly say they have great stuff, with great prices.  This dress is so cute and perfect for the scorching, humid days walking these city streets.

Tassel Necklace –  Tassels are every where.  I love this necklace with the color combination and it looks like a quality piece.  I get a little nervous ordering something like this online because it could show up and look cheap.  The good thing with Nordstrom is I can return it easily.  This might be worth the investment.

Felicity & Coco Dress – So, I kind of have a thing for the shift dresses this year.  I love the green color of this dress and it would fit perfectly in my closet.   Just like the Eileen Fisher dress, this can be styled in so many ways.  It would go well in a capsule wardrobe and can also carried to fall and winter.

Karen Walker Sunglasses – Seriously, I can’t explain it.  These were on the home page of ShopStyle Collective and I just have to have them.  That’s my only reason.

Nicole Miller Pompano Sandal – Shhhh don’t tell my husband, I just ordered these.  I can’t imagine them not sitting in my closet.  They can be dressed up or down and add a fun pop of color to any outfit.  Which, is the perfect summer shoe, in my opinion.

Mara Hoffman Swimsuit – I spotted this bathing suit while writing my Body Shape Series: Find The Best Bathing Suit.  This suit is gorgeous.  Unfortunately, I doubt it will make it into my wardrobe (along with the Eileen Fisher dress).  They will both just be dreams a stylish mom has.

Which brings me to the end of my Currently Loving Summer Edition.  Check back the last Wednesday of every month for more Currently Loving.  Also, I will be starting a new series in July.  It will be the second Wednesday and will be the Trend Alert.  In Trend Alert, I will talk about all the current trends you see in the magazines and how to bring them into your wardrobe.  Yay!!

Check out Target if you want reasonably priced ones. They have knock-off Michael Kors ones right now. 🙂 xo~ Megan

Have you been to Ensenada? What’s your favorite spots? We had a great time on our Ensenada excursion on our Carnival cruise. Including rain, pina coladas, La Bufadora and wine tasting at Santa Tomas winery. If you are in SoCal I recommend making your own way across the border to Ensenada.
