Must Try Spring Trends

Hi Lovelies.  It’s Friday.  Yay!  We have a fun filled weekend planned, as long as the kids can stay healthy for longer then 10 minutes.  I literally should buy stock in the health food store after my visit today.  I bought every immunity boosting product, I swear.  I am the worst at watching my children being sick.  I’m sure every mom is like this.  I just feel so helpless and I run around like a crazy person trying to fix them.  Anyway, I am hoping that they are on the mends.  With daylight savings this weekend, I am so excited to get a jump on Spring.

So, for today I am talking Must Try Spring Trends for all of us stylish moms.  These 3 trends are perfect for everyone and can be easily mixed into your current wardrobe.

  Cold Shoulder Tops

The  cold shoulder top is a great look for Spring.  These tops can easily be dressed up or down with a skirt or a pair of shorts.  Go for flowing, soft fabrics and pair with a fitted bottom or tuck into a pair of boyfriend jeans with heels.  Keep your jewelry simple around the neck.  Let your shoulders be the statement.  This look is great way to show a little skin but still be mom appropriate.

Suede

Suede everything.  Suede Skirts, jackets and pants.  This was seen on many run ways and is a great way to add a little luxury to your Spring wardrobe.  If you’re like me and want the vegan route, go for a good faux suede skirt.  This can be dressed up or down and is great for Sunday brunch or date night.

Pleats

Hello pleats of all widths.  Adding a little girly touch and flare to your skirts.  The pleated midi skirt or maxi skirt are all the rage this season.  Grab a skirt in a soft pink or white.  Check back next week to see how I am styling my pleated skirt.  That, yes, is in soft pink.

I feel these three are very doable trends for the stylish mom.  Something that we can all pull off and feel comfortable in.  A great way to add in trendy pieces into our wardrobes.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
