NYFW Trends You Must Try Now

Spread the love

Hi Lovelies.  I don’t know about you, but February flew by.  Another month of me slacking on my New Years Resolutions.  I’m just starting to realize life is winning and I am losing.  I am going to try for smaller goals for the next month, maybe they will be more achievable since we all know life happens.  Now, that I have finally been able to settle back in from NYC, I want to talk about trends I saw that you can start rocking right now.  These are my must try NYFW trends you must try now.

Embroidery

The perfect embroidery detailed top.

Embroidery filled the runways this fall season from Jill Stuart to Altuzarra this trend hit up the runways on every piece of clothing.  We saw it on jackets and pants and it’s absolutely gorgeous.  You can go with small details like I did in the shirt above or you can find a blazer with a full embroidery detail.  If you choose to go with a jacket, make it your statement piece and keep your accessories simple.

Wide Leg Pants

The Fashionista Momma styles wide leg jeans with a crochet detailed top that's perfect for fall.

We saw the wide leg pants at Cushnie Et Ochs, Zimmerman and many other designers.  Soft flowy fabrics that make the pants oh so comfortable and perfect for us stylish moms.  Beware you may want to live in these pants.

Jumpsuits

The perfect fall look with denim overalls with a bodysuit. - The Fashionista Momma

There were all different kinds of jumpsuits.  Wide leg, cropped, or fitted there were lots of designers that had jumpsuits in their collections.  If you haven’t jumped in to the jumpsuit trend, nows the perfect time.  It’s stuck around for a few years now, so you probably have a few more years to wear your jumpsuit.  You can try the flowy loose fabrics or a denim fitted one both are great for fashionable moms.

Renaissance

A lace dress perfect for the holiday season.

Lots of lace detail mixed with heavy fabrics, neck ties and so much more.  You can simply add a renaissance style top and pair it with your jeans.  Keep it simple and comfortable.  Or you can go with a lace dress, like I did above.

Girl Meets Boy

A striped romper, blazer and choker perfect for a date night.

Altuzarra, Jill Stuart, Michael Kors and many other designers took from the mens wardrobe and created feminine pieces.  We saw feminine blazers, and trousers paired with masculine shoes.  There were also details like pearls on combat boots and patent leather oxfords.  This year it’s ok to wear your dress with combat boots, or rock the mens suit look with a neck tie blouse.
