Packing Guide For Portland

Spread the love

It’s Spring break around here and we just made it to Portland for a short little trip.  We love just heading to random places for no reason other than we want to see something new.  So, here we are.  The girls and I are hitching a ride on the husbands work trip.  I have never been to Portland, but I did some research and found there are so many things to do outdoors.  So, today I am sharing a packing guide for Portland.

The perfect packing guide for Portland including cardigans, things to layer with and comfy shoes.

Shop the look:

 T-Shirt | Umbrella | Jeans | Adidas | Hunter Boots | Cardigan | Chambray Top

If you don’t know, Portland gets a lot of rain.  It also stakes claim on hipster style.  So, this little packing guide will help you blend with the locals.

Graphic Tees – Graphic tees and casual tops are perfect for Portland in the spring.  You want to be able to comfortably layer your clothes.

Layering Pieces – Oversized cardigans and open knits are a great choice.  You can keep your shirt dry with your outer layers and stay warm if the temperatures drop.

Rain Boots – A good pair of packable rainboots is a must.  You can keep your feet dry while you run around.

Umbrella – An umbrella is a must.  You can check with your hotel first before you pack one.  Just make sure that you will have one on your trip. You just never know how much rain you will get.

Sneakers –  I recommend adidas or a pair of sneakers that will still keep your feet dry.  Converse and nikes can get wet very quickly.  So, an athletic shoe that is rubber is a better choice.

It will be raining most of the time that we are here, but the girls and I still plan on taking our adventures.  We plan on seeing several gardens, parks, the food trucks and of course hitting up VooDoo Donuts.  If you have recommendations for must try restaurants let me know.  I always love a good recommendation.  Be sure to check out my travel guide to Portland.

    1. Thank you Ashley. It was a quick trip, I will say I love the food. So much good stuff, I could have ate my way through that city. I also loved shopping with the no sales tax. xo ~ Megan
