Travel Guide To Carlsbad California

Hi Lovelies. Today, I wanted to share a travel guide to Carlsbad California. This is one of my favorite beach towns with great shopping and fun family activities.

Paddleboarding

This is one of my families favorite activities. We have a couple paddle boards and they love to get out on the Carlsbad Lagoon and float. You can rent jet ski’s, paddleboards, or kayaks from the Lagoon. There are also SUP Yoga classes if you are interested in getting a yoga class in.

Shopping

There are two malls in Carlsbad. A nice outdoor mall that is right below the flower fields and a mall that is in the process of being renovated, The Shoppes at Carlsbad. It’s a great stop with a Dave and Busters and several eateries.

LEGOLAND

Most people know Carlsbad for LEGOLAND. The LEGOLAND California has two hotels, and a really great water park. We love to head to LEGOLAND at least once a year.

Beach

Carlsbad has a beautiful coastline with fabulous beaches. You can pick a beach close to the downtown area and grab lunch or dinner all within a few blocks.

Yoga

If you didn’t know that I am also a yoga instructor, I have been teaching yoga for 11 years and I teach at a studio in Carlsbad, Peace Love And Yoga. It is my second home. If you are in the area and looking to try a hot yoga studio, this is the place for you. We have a great first time student deal 10 days for $10. Get addicted to hot yoga while you are on your vacation. You can also join us for LIVESTREAM classes now. So, even if you aren’t in the area you can enjoy my PLAY family.

Eateries

Compass – This is one of my favorite restaurants in Carlsbad. They have several vegan options on their menu and they have great drinks with a ton of beer options. They have vegan corn dogs, a yummy vegan burger and vegetarian brussel sprouts with a delicious lemon basil emulsions.

Campfire – Great cocktails and delicious food with a fun vibe. They have a teepee and outdoor area for the kids. It can get really crowded so be sure to make reservations.

Jeune Et Jolie – A Instagram worthy French restaurant with beautiful cocktails and yummy food. Another spot that you will want to have reservations.

Norte – When you come to California, you have to do a Taco Tuesday. Norte has a great outdoor patio just a few steps from the beach. You can enjoy margaritas and Taco Tuesday.

Naked Cafe – A great healthy breakfast and lunch stop. I love The Calexxxican. It is my favorite with vegan chorizo and I order it with no dairy.

The Goods – By far one of my favorite donut shops. They have something for everyone. Gluten Free, Vegan and the most amazing cinnamon rolls EVER.
