Style Saturday: Colored Shorts

Hi Lovelies!  I can’t believe the warm weather is finally here.  I was so excited to wear shorts for a day out.  My best friend was visiting from California and we got to spend two whole days together.  It was amazing.  I love seeing my close friends from home.  It’s like having a little piece of sunshine and palm trees in the city.  We did a little shopping, a little eating and a little drinking.  A perfect day in my opinion.  For our day out, I needed bright and casual.  Springy & warm; a little California in New York City.  I paired these colored shorts with a chambray top and comfy wedges.

I can’t wait for the next few months with all the bright colors and sunshine.  Maybe even a trip home to California to see all my other friends and family.  I hope you all have a great weekend.  I also hope you are all starting to make fun and exciting plans for summer.  It’s just around the corner!

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
