Style Saturday: Colorful Plaid

Hi Lovelies.  Happy Saturday.  I can’t believe it’s November.  Seriously,  I have mixed emotions.  I am so excited because I love the holiday season, but I just don’t know if I am ready.  I feel like I never it all together anymore.  Just when I’m almost there, something happens.  This time, it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.  So, here we go.

Today, I am sharing a colorful plaid outfit I wore to the Zoo with my girls this week.  I needed a break from organizing and the girls needed some outdoor sunshine.  We took a trip to the zoo and enjoyed the sunshine.

This week, Heather from The Sugar Ribbon Blog is joining me as a co-host.  Head over to her blog for awesome style tips and some great recipe ideas.  This week’s Style Saturday All Star is Taylor from Pink Heels Pink Truck.  She shared this adorable tulle skirt paired with a leather jacket.  I just love it and it reminds me that I have to get my tulle skirt up for the holiday season.  Check back soon to see how I style my tulle skirt from Adult Tutus.

Nice that it’s cold enough to bring out the booties but not so cold that you can still enjoy the zoo!

Megan, are you noticing the shift in your style? I am, and I love it!! Isn’t amazing how the styles change from coast to coast? I live overseas–where the styles from the Pacific Northwest are always so different. I am now used to going home and immediately adopting the PNW vibe. It took me about 19 years though! Before I would bring the places I lived home with me and always feel out of place. Now, I know better! It took me so long–but, I always bring a little bit of my travels with me!

I love all the plaid you’ve been sporting. It’s so chic!! Thank you for the Style Saturday Link Up!

Thank you so much Ann! It’s crazy how different the styles are east to west. I feel like I am trying to bring a little of the two together for my own style now. Thanks for linking up. ~ Megan

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
