Style Saturday: White Linen Dress

Hi Lovelies,  It’s going to be august in a couple days!!  My birthday month, I can’t even believe it.  I don’t know about you, but this week was pretty fabulous.  The weather was gorgeous and felt a little bit like San Diego for 5 days.  The girls and I spent most of our time outdoors.  Central park with Project Motherhood NYC, Liberty Science Center, runs along the Hudson, and lots of yummy food.  City living has been good to us these days and I am so thankful for this place we call home.  We finalized our plans for Cancun and I am so excited for our trip.  Although, I did have a brief moment of panic as we booked our transportation from the hotel.  They had all these warnings of people trying to hustle us, sent a description of the person picking us up, etc.  I had to google if Cancun was safe (since all this craziness in Mexico theses days).  Called my best friend who travels often, all to come to the realization that we should survive Cancun.  Have any of you traveled to Cancun recently?  It’s been 15+ years since I went to Mexico and that was to Cabo San Lucas, well before it was even the IT destination.  I chose a resort that we don’t ever have to leave, so I feel like we should be okay, right?  I would love to hear stories, if anyone has one.

On to Style Saturday.  I had every intention of sharing our Boston trip, but we got a new camera and the memory card from the old camera is MIA.  So, instead of perfect Boston tourist pictures with a casual outfit, I am sharing a night out with my white linen dress.  This is perfect for a Sunday out with the family, brunch, or even a casual date night.  This dress is perfect to take from day to night for all of us stylish busy moms.  Change your accessories, shoes, or simply add a different coat and it can be a whole new look.

Did you notice the flawless skin I got going on in these pictures?  I received YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer and YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector from Influenster and I am totally amazed.  It creates a smooth flawless finish.  I typically wear full coverage foundation, but today I threw on a very sheer color correction foundation and it was perfect.  If you are looking for flawless skin and a smooth finish this is the product for you.  My skin has never felt so soft.  Shop the products I used below.

Let’s get to our linkup shall we?  Today, I am excited to welcome Ana De Jesus from Faded Spring as my co-host.  Check out her blog and her style.  This week’s Style Saturday All Star is Carrie from A Lovely Little Wardrobe.  I loved these printed shorts with the bright fun scarf.  It was a perfect color and pattern combination with the softness of the pattern in the scarf contrasting the striped  geometric pattern on the shorts.  Which brings me to a little conversation for today’s comments.  What is your go-to, bold color combinations, or bold pattern combinations?  I like a good mix of both, but I know a lot of people tend to shy away from the patterns.  We all live to stick to our solids right?  So, let’s talk about color and pattern mixing.  I would love to hear from you.

    That dress looks perfect for the summer time. Love the coral and white combo. Cancun sounds so exciting!! I was there a couple of years ago, I didn’t have any bad experiences. I know It can be unsafe as any country in the world, but if you stay where the touristic area is, you are going to be fine. Go to Xcaret, it’s an amazing park! Tulum is a paradise if you are looking for an amazing beach (Playa paraiso). See the turtle eggs hatching by the sea ( your kids are going to love that). Eat tacos lol 😀 Have lots of fun!!! I want to go back one day 😀
