Turning Heads Tuesday: Printed Dress

Hi Lovelies! Today I am co-hosting with Jess from Elegantly Dressed and Stylish.  That means, an added styled outfit this week.  Yay!!

I’m writing this in complete exhaustion, so I really hope that I make sense to some of you.  We are dog sitting for a friend and the first night her dog kept me up all night.  Followed by waking the princesses up at 4am.  To which they thought it would be a great time to start the day.  The second night, my dog kept me up all night.  Apparently, we all just can’t get on the same page and let this lady sleep.  You know when your eyes feel so heavy, you are blank staring and you feel like you’re in a dream state?  That’s me these last two days.  I’m actually so thankful for cloudy weather today because I’m thinking the girls and I will nap half the day away.  What do you think? Nap or work?  This is my tough decision today.

The outfit I’m sharing for Turning Heads Tuesday is this printed dress my mom got me for an early birthday present.  I wore this out Sunday night for drinks and dinner with friends.  Blogger friends are the best.  My favorite food blogger Maddie from The Whimsy One was in town and we had to get together.  If you have been following The Fashionista Momma, you will remember her from last year sharing these Raspberry Green Tea Rum Pops.  We had a great time at Cask in Murray Hill.  Which, by the way, has really good doughnuts for desert.

This dress was perfect for the hot sticky night that ended with me running home through a lightening storm.  Just a typical summer night in the city.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
