1 Year Follow Up To Ablation
Hi Lovelies. Happy Hump Day. This is an extra short week for us, we have Monday and Friday off. So, this Wednesday is looking pretty good. Today, I want to share a 1 year follow up to ablation. This is actually a little past due, as my surgery was October 2018. You can see my original post here.
As always, everyones experience is different. So, this is just my personal experience with endometrial ablation and tubal ligation. I am in no way a medical professional and each person may have a different reaction to these procedures. So, please discuss with your doctor and if you have any symptoms always seek medical attention.
Still No Period. Yay!
A year and a couple months and I am still period free. I can still confidently say this is the best decision I have ever made. There is no stress once a month about how am I going to work, how am I going to leave the house. I am free to do what I want and not have to worry about bleeding through my clothes. Which for so many moms I have spoken to is something we all deal with after having children.
No Migraines
Now this was not listed as a benefit of Endometrial Ablation, but since I had the procedure I have not a had my bi-monthly hormonal migraines. The only headaches I have to worry about are dehydration, and drinking too many glasses of wine.
No Cramps
Some months the cramps would knock me on my ass. Now I live my life cramp free. No discomfort, throbbing pains, or curling up in my bed in misery.
No Babies
Thanks to the tubal ligation, we are pregnancy free. I don’t have to remember to take a pill, or feel horrible from taking them. With my high risk for preeclampsia and having a premature birth this is super important.
Light Spotting
The only thing that I have seen from endometrial ablation is light spotting when I go to the restroom. It’s very random and only happens when I go to the bathroom. I couldn’t be more happy with the results of my procedure.
