5 Tips For A Great Start To 2017

Spread the love

2016 was a big growth year for me. Although some of my goals for 2016 fell short, I learned so much about what I want for myself, being a mom and for my blog. I feel like 2017 is going to be such a great year, that I will be able to focus a little bit more on personal choices and life changes. Starting with my health, organization, and building this community. Here are my tips to get your New Year off right.

These 5 tips will help you set goals and get ready for the new year.

Write It Down

Sit down and write down your goals.  Keep them in a place that you can see them, this will help you keep on track.  Great places to display your goals is in our refrigerator, or your bathroom mirror.  You can also keep a copy in your planner, so when you write out your schedule, you have a friendly little reminder.

Set Short Term Goals

Don’t overwhelm yourself with too much.  Set short term goals that you can build on as the year goes on.  This will make it easier to achieve and give you reasons to celebrate.  Set monthly goals that will help you achieve your overall yearly goal.

Make A Plan

Set up a plan to achieve your goals.  For example, if your goal is to lose weight, decide how many pounds a week you are going to lose, and how many workouts you will need to reach that goal.

Organization Is Key

I highly recommend a planner.  This year, I am using a Start Planner to organize my life.  It has a section right in the beginning for your goals and plans.  Each month, you can also set mini goals for that individual month.  I can keep track of health goals, meals, birthday’s and my daily schedule.  Keeping track of all of this stuff in one perfect little organizer is great.  Be sure to head to Instagram to enter the giveaway I am hosting with Start Planner.

Daily Journal

This is how I end the day.  I keep a journal in my nightstand and when I crawl into bed, I write down how the day went.  I keep track of little things, what I am thankful for, what I struggled with for the day and what my plan is for the next day.
