The Weekly Style Edit: Lingerie Dress

Hi Lovelies.  Happy Friday.  This week was completely insane and busy from the time I woke up Monday morning until Friday. My husband’s 30th birthday party is tomorrow.  So, with two play dates, dance class, gymnastics, personal training sessions, and teaching two yoga classes, I had to shop and plan.  Made for some madness.  Which I’m proud to say, I pulled of a 15 minute Costco run.  I feel like that deserves an award.  I put this outfit together with a dress that I got from Target.  I dressed down the lingerie dress with a leather jacket and ankle boots so that I could wear it out for a day with my family.

A great way to dress down a feminine dress is to add edgy accessories like these boots and this leather jacket.  It’s also a great way to make a tank dress work in colder temperatures.  For example, you need to take photos of this outfit and it’s raining outside. LOL.  We snapped these photos as fast as we could between rain drops. Sometimes fashion blogging isn’t so glamourous.

Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyla Rare opportunity of an empty spot inside @disneyland and just wishing we could get a reservation to see the new Toontown
SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? M SoCal residents have you ever visited a mission? Mission ⛪
Last week we visited our 3rd mission. This is taking it back to @oldmissionsb which we loved. My daughter was obsessed with learning about Karana from “Island of the Blue Dolphin” If your child is in 4th grade take them to check out a few missions. It’s a part of their curriculum and they can learn so much from the way the Spanish operated here in SoCal in the late 1700’s-1800’s. Of course not every detail of this settlement was positive, but it’s a great opportunity to have discussions and educate your children about the indigenous people and the Spanish settlers.
AND don’t forget 4th graders can get the national parks pass with Every Kid Outdoors. Link in stories.
