Must Do’s At The Start Of The Year

Hi Lovelies.  2017 is already on it’s way.  I can’t believe how fast this first full week went by.  Today, I wanted to share what I get done at the start of every year.  The New Year is a great time to get all of your health check-ups and appointments scheduled.  As a busy mom, I like to start off the new year knowing that I am all healthy and ready to go.  I also like to clear out our house, get rid of anything we don’t need anymore and deep clean.  So, today I am sharing my top must-do’s at the start of the year.

The must do's at the start of the year.

Schedule All Annual Exams

Get all your annual exams scheduled.  Dental and doctor appointments.  Hopefully, you have a general practioner and dentist that you love.  If you live in North County San Diego, I highly recommend Carlsbad Dental Associates in The Island at Carlsbad.  They are so nice and helpful.  We get our girls into their appointments as well at a local Children’s Dentist Office. Get all their physicals done for their school forms etc.  It just makes it easier to have everything ready for enrollment and all that.

Yard Sale

At the start of the year, we clean our closets and the house.  We go through the toy room and clear out toys the girls don’t need. Then we have a yard sale.  We are blessed in that we live in area that we can have a yard sale in January.  If you live somewhere that you can’t, set all of your stuff aside for spring.

Deep Clean Your House

After everything is out of your way, get your house nice and clean.  I also recommend checking all of your heater parts and filters.  You don’t want to be blowing around dust and other yuckies.  Start the year off with a nice clean house.  If you have the extra money, maybe even higher a house cleaner to get all the stuff you usually forget.

Get To The Gym

We all have our resolutions, but it also gets cold and we may not get out as much.  So, even if you don’t have a health and fitness goal, just getting yourself to the gym to get you moving in the colder weather is a must.  I love our gym Anytime Fitness in Carlsbad.  I can also grab a smoothie afterwards and keep my resolutions going with healthy eating.

Getting everything together in your life will help you start the year off organized, healthy and ready to take on the next 365 days.  Cheers to 2017.

Such a great list. I never even thought about scheduling exams. And I need to have a yard sale so badly!

Oh my gosh the exams are big one for me. If I don’t get them in my calendar the next thing I know the year has past and I didn’t get them done. LOL. Get to that yard sale girly. xo ~ Megan

Have you been to Ensenada? What’s your favorite spots? We had a great time on our Ensenada excursion on our Carnival cruise. Including rain, pina coladas, La Bufadora and wine tasting at Santa Tomas winery. If you are in SoCal I recommend making your own way across the border to Ensenada.
