4th of July Outfit: The Weekly Style Edit

Spread the love

Hi Lovelies.  Cheers to Thursday and the first week of summer here in Cali.  We are so ready for some real time off. Somehow though my schedule just keeps filling up with work.  Not that I am complaining, but it’s a bit crazy!! This week for The Weekly Style Edit, Lindsay and I decided to share some 4th of July Outfit Inspiration.  We all love a good red, white and blue look am I right?  Now, if you know me, you know I’m not big on the over the top American Pride looks.  I like to keep my 4th of July outfit simple and something  I can wear almost anytime.

Here are a few of my favorite ways to add some festive American spirit to your 4th of July outfit.

Red and White Stripes, Blue and white or a mix of red, blue and white.  This is such a great way to keep your American spirit low key and festive.

White is such an easy way to style a 4th of July outfit.  You can incorporate red and blue accessories and then you have a white piece that can easily transition into the rest of the year.  I mean everyone loves a good LWD.  Am I right?

Any shade of red can be fitting for your 4th of July outfit.  Always be sure when you are choosing your reds that you take into consideration what season you are.  Winters and Summers should choose a red with a blue undertone (think true red), while falls should lean more towards a yellow undertone (think more of a brick red).  There are those of that fall a little in-between and can wear either shade.  I am a winter that tends toward spring so I can wear true red, and a very light yellow undertone.  If it gets too orangy though its a no-go for me.

I will get a whole post up talking about seasons really soon!! For now check out my basic body shape series to get inspiration for your specific body shape.
